All payments are final once services are rendered. If there is a concern regarding a completed service, clients must contact McCurty Apostille & Notary Services for review.

We obtain apostille certificates from the Secretary of State (state documents) and U.S. Department of State (federal documents) for use in Hague Convention countries.
We currently offer apostille services for Hague Convention countries. Documents intended for non-Hague Convention countries—such as the UAE, China, Vietnam, Canada, or Saudi Arabia—require embassy legalization, which we do not offer at this time.
An apostille authenticates the official signature and seal appearing on your document. It does NOT certify the accuracy or truthfulness of the document’s content, only that the signature and seal are legitimate. Apostilles are recognized for legal use in over 120 Hague Convention member countries. An apostille does not guarantee acceptance by the receiving authority, as document requirements are determined by the destination country. Once the apostille has been issued, responsibility for acceptance lies with the receiving authority.
If your apostilled documents are rejected by a foreign authority due to document type, formatting, translation requirements, or other country-specific requirements, we are not responsible for the outcome. Our service facilitates issuance of the apostille certificate by the appropriate authority. Acceptance decisions are determined by the receiving authority and are outside our control and service scope.
Certified professional translators are coordinated for document translation; translation services are not performed directly. While qualified translators are used to support proper document preparation, translation quality and accuracy remain the responsibility of the translation service provider.
Translation fees are separate from apostille services and are quoted based on the specific request. Facilitation of translation does not guarantee acceptance by foreign authorities, as requirements vary by country and are subject to change.
No refunds once document review begins.
No refunds for completed services.
Limited refunds only if we fail due to our error.
Delivery timelines provided by shipping carriers are estimates and may be affected by weather, operational issues, or network disruptions once documents are shipped. Carrier delays are outside of our control.
We cannot assume liability for documents that are lost or damaged while in transit. All mailed documents are sent with tracking to monitor delivery.
Turnaround times are estimates based on normal government processing. We’re not responsible for government delays, holidays, closures, or rejections by government authorities.

All signers must present a valid, government-issued photo ID that meets Alabama notary law. Expired, photocopied, or digital IDs are not accepted. Service will be refused if identity cannot be verified.
Acceptable IDs in Alabama:
All documents must be fully completed prior to the scheduled appointment. Notarization will not be performed on any document that contains blank fields, except for the areas designated for signatures.
Service may be declined if any signer is not present, appears unaware or under duress, or lacks a valid form of identification. Notaries are not authorized to provide legal advice or prepare documents.
All documents and personal information are handled with strict confidentiality. No client information is shared, copied, or discussed outside the scope of the notarial act. Records are maintained securely in compliance with Alabama law.
Mobile services are available within a defined service area. Travel fees are based on mileage and distance from the business location and are quoted and must be agreed to before the appointment.
A notarial journal is maintained to support accuracy and accountability during notarial acts. Copies of records are not released except as authorized by law or court order.
Accommodations for elderly or disabled signers can be arranged upon request when scheduling the appointment.
I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice. I cannot explain, interpret, or advise on the contents or legal effect of any document. If you have legal questions, you must consult an attorney.
