Traveling out of state? Stuck at work during business hours? Remote notarization solves the problem of distance and scheduling conflicts. No more rearranging your day or missing important deadlines because you can't physically meet with a notary.
What You Get:
Confused about remote notarization in Alabama? Many people think Alabama uses the same electronic RON process as other states, but that's not the case. Understanding the difference ensures your documents are processed correctly and legally recognized.
Alabama's hybrid RIN process combines the convenience of remote video witnessing with the security and legal recognition of traditional wet-ink signatures and physical notary seals.
Choose a time that works for you. A quote is provided after your request is reviewed. Payment is required to secure your appointment.
All signers must provide:
All documents requiring notarization must be uploaded prior to the scheduled appointment.
The notarization is conducted by secure video conference. After the video session, the original signed document must be submitted either by mail or delivered to the office so the notarization can be completed.
After the notarization is completed, your document will either be returned to you or sent directly to your designated recipient, based on your instructions.
If you can‘t find an answer to your question, please call or text (205) 615-6242 for assistance.
Remote notarization is available for documents such as powers of attorney, deeds, consent forms, and authorization letters. Absentee ballots cannot be notarized via Remote Ink.
Same-day appointments may be available, subject to availability. Total turnaround time depends on how quickly the original signed document is received after the online appointment. Once received, notarized documents are mailed the same business day. Return shipping typically takes 2 to 3 business days.
To complete a Remote Ink Notarization, each signer must present two valid government-issued IDs, including one containing a photograph and signature, and complete a separate identity verification process.
Yes. Communication during the video session must be in English to comply with Alabama requirements.
